While not sounding exactly the same Mother Night had a sound close to bands like Mandrill and War (others). Unfortunately they only had the one album.

I know the drummer was 'Twink' Adler who played on some of the Pretty Things 'SF Sorrow' album, but he's the only member I know.

Theses guys arent very obscure, but this is one of my favorite songs ever.

The guitarist for Tomorrow was the great Steve Howe who of course went on to fame with Yes.
Fire had Dave Lambert who played for the Strawbs in the 70's.

Liked that High Dials track...I like 'power pop'.

A few years back, I was walking with my wife in some outlets while she was shopping and I heard this song playing over the speakers. I Shazamed it and bought the CD that same day. Found out the guy is a jazz player that just happened to have a poppish song. Like the song though.
