I gave my "Transformer" LP a play after supper tonight. Amazing all the detail I don't think I ever heard in my college years with sound equipment not nearly as good as what I have now. The guitar work sounded positively menacing in "Vicious".

Still to this day my favorite Lou Reed album. Nice to see Lou mentioned for his guitar playing which is underrated overall I think. Compared to other "glam rock" albums such as Ziggy Stardust and Electric Warrior, I think Transformer is slightly better than those ... particulaly because T-Rex and David Bowie have better albums than the two mentioned above, but the same can't be said for Lou Reed, though one can argue Berlin comes close.

Either way... great album
