The only band listed here that I listen to is Soda Stereo. They are essentially a Latin American Tears For Fears and in some ways even better.
I encourage anyone who's a fan of Tears For Fears, Simple Minds, early Peter Gabriel etc to check them out. |

I've liked Cliff Richard for years. He might not be huge over here, but he's had success.

I have posted about Mando Diao her before. There are great. The passion they exhit live is infectious. I am not sure they are as popular as they were 5 years ago because they went a little more progressive pop.
But during their "Long Before Rock and Roll" period they kicked butt. Real artists and muscians playing with passion. Back in the day they made me weep for the American music corporation (as its no longer an industry). Highly recommend checking them out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XbBuFxOvmEM Acoustic version of same song live: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vVMFlU-0-wU |
