Feedback needed - POLL

As most know VBulletin software is quite expensive to buy and I would like to see this site upgraded at some point to take advantage of the latest and greatest.

That said, we are looking at different ideas/ways to generate money to cover the software cost.

So first poll -

50/50 draws - monthly or bi-weekly depending on amount of people in the draw.

What say ye?

You should be open about the costs of operating the site. If others know they may be more inclined to support through 50:50 raffle or flat out donation.

Definitely, we will be posting the goals we need to reach and were we are with it. Also looking at giveaways raffles as well.

Generally yes that can be the case, but with this site the software is so old we cannot even get support for things and most mods won't work without severe hacking to them.

I agree. Although a draw might entice the "lurkers" to finally participate in the forum.

Thanks everyone for you feedback, it is much appreciated. I am looking now at just getting us upgraded to V4 as it is much cheaper. I will be posting a donation area in the next few days with a bar that shows our goal and where we are at. What we may do is for everyone that donates we may just do a draw for some sort of gifts to choose from, whether be cash, coupons, gift cards etc.....
