Best/Favorite Band of the Nineties (poll edition)

So who's your favorite? Initially I wanted to just do Alice In Chains VS Pearl Jam VS Nirvana, but that'd be silly. I tried to fit as many of them on here as I could.

Oh, sorry people I couldn't resist the urge to have it be a multiple choice poll. But most of you didn't seem to have one solid favorite anyway.

Re: Best/Favorite Band of the Nineties (poll edition)

I checked only 10, but something tells me I do like more...

Oh, there was an "Other" option. Silly me!

I'd add Blur and Pulp - I enjoyed their music in the 90's. Still like them, but they don't get played in my headphones as often as they used to back then.

Re: Best/Favorite Band of the Nineties (poll edition)

Since you allowed for multiple votes, I went with Rage, AIC, PJ, STP, Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Radiohead.

One write-in vote for Dredg.

I abstained from The Verve, Tori Amos, Beck, Tool, Wilco, and Soundgarden, because while I like them, I don't feel I know enough of their material to vote for them.

Since you didn't put Weezer I chose Radiohead. Then I remembered Nirvana. Damn.

What he said but included Soundgarden. I considered their 80's material as well.

Other!!!! I'm referring to Enigma which is considered a project instead of a band or group. At any rate, the music of Enigma set New Age on it's ear and caused quite a controversial stir within several circles especially the highly religious. Besides that, once you hear the sound eminating from this incredibly innovative artist you won't soon forget it and might even become addicted for life!

Of the choices given? Beck, Bjork and Nirvana.

But my favorite '90s bands are The Magnetic Fields and The Divine Comedy...by far.

Honorable mention to Eels, Ben Folds Five and Weezer.

I went with King's X. Lots of honorable mentions,of course, but I don't think anyone else matches up all the way around.

I went with Smashing Pumpkins since I like them best and really like most of them any way. I've always just been partial to the Pumpkins.
